However, it has been decided that these players will only participate if they are fit to do so. The Sri Lanka Cricket Board recently unveiled the list of players who will represent the nation in the upcoming World Cup.

Additionally, the management responsibilities for the team have been entrusted to a capable figure named Mendis. The cricket board has also stated that Vanindu Hasanga, Mahisha Tikshna, and Dilshan Madhushka have been included in the squad, but their participation will depend on their fitness levels. Alongside these key players, the team features Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Janith, Dimuth Karunaratne, Charith Asalanka, Dananjaya de Silva, Sadeera Samarawickrama, Dhananjaya de Silva, Kasun Rajitha, Matheesha Pathirana, and Lahiru Kumara. 
Dushmantha Chameera and Chamika Karunaratne have been named as traveling reserves.
